Is it possible to remove the lists under search engines?
I was wondering if you can remove the list of things you've typed in the past somehow? Whenever I type a letter on a search engine I get this list filled with all the things I have looked up in the past. How do you get rid of this? I have a windows XP.

Yep, its quite easy, click the blank space of your toolbar and all the history and search terms will pop out. Now move your cursor over them and press delete!
Hope this helps!

If you have one of the toolbars downloaded, such as google then I can help you!!!
If you have on the google toolbar go to settings and then options. Next xhoose search box settings and untick suggest searches from my search history. This will get rid of all previous searches.
This is the only way I know how to do it, deleting temp internet files and things like that do not work. It may be worth downloading the google toolbar if you haven't got it so that you can do it!!
Hope this helps!!

Your question has nothing to do with where and how you search
it means your system has auto complete on and needs to be turned off
Do you have internet xplorer 7
go to internet options
content
turn off auto complete
if you have the yahoo toolbar
click the search arrow then turn off auto complete
while your in internet options
go to general tab and delete your history and cookies
Source(s): open internet xplorer go to Tool tab then internet options - 1 decade ago
Go to start menu, then to Control Panel, then to Internet Options, then under browsing History...hit delete. Then hit delete " History".
You can also delete cookies and what not that CAN bog your system down.

Well first off lets be honest your trying to get rid of all your porns site history right. Second if you open up the properties box you should be able to go in there iand set it to erase all history also if you dont want it to keep track of your history in the same area you can shut it off!
