When people talk about FOB's here they mean "Fresh Off the Boat."

A"FOB" is a foreigner (from any country) that just recently arrived to the United States. People make fun of them cause of their accents and style of clothes.

Hi I work for a mutual fund company and to log on to my system I have a key fob which is a small device that displays code numbers to use to sign in to the network. The numbers change every 60 seconds.

It is "Freight on Board" FOB means "Free on Board" it means once the goods pass the ships rail at the port of the seller, the buyer bears the risk off loss. Thus, if the ship goes down in transit, buyer takes the loss.

In Iraq, US soldiers live and work in Forward Operating Bases. They call these FOBs, and refer to the soldiers who always work there and never go out on missions "Fobbits".

    Freight on Board

it means free on board, but I belelive it only refers to freight being shipped on a boat. Freight shipped via air or rail should be FCA or Exworks.

Fresh off the boat. An asian with an accent.

It's also a key holder thing.
