You will be fine,I have grand mal seizures and I gave birth to a healthy child and I have always had 5 or 6 seizures a year.I even had a bad seizure when I was 8 months pregnant and my child was born a month later and she was just fine.Don't let your seizures keep you from having children, cause you having seizures wont cause your child to have problems.

Are you taking medication to control your grand mals? If you are, you will need to go off the meds during your pregnancy to prevent birth defects.
If you're not on meds then the stresses of pregnancy may increase the intensity, frequency and duration, or it may not. You probably won't know until you get pregnant, unfortunately.
If you do decide to become pregnant, make a prenatal appointment with a doctor who has extensive experience with epileptic pregnancies BEFORE you get pregnant; you may need extra monitoring other pregnancies wouldn't otherwise get.
A friend of mine had a perfectly healthy baby even with SEVERE epilepsy (2-3 grand mals per week), but she was also at the doctors after every episode. She also had in home care from her husband and a day-nurse for the duration of her pregnancy.

just ask for further advice from your doctor and OB gyne. they would give you the best advice for that.. because honestly, that would be a risk for you and the baby if you would get pregnant and would have a seizure attack. most medications for seizures also have a bad effect on the fetus so just to be sure for your own safety and for the baby, be guided by your physician..congrats in advance and good luck..be of the best of health
