DO NOT TOUCH IT !!!!!!!!!!!! call a pro this stuff is dangerous it can cause all sorts of bad things to happen when found in a large amount. call your insurance company . get denrek out there to supervise keep kids out and husband and you. do not listen to these people that say to just use a bleach solution if you pressure wash it the spores will get wet and spread. the common way to do it is strait up removal. and use hepa filters with a mask to be around it . call Servpro in your county there is one in every county in the U S. they are able to handle it and will tell you where to call for more help. please don't think that mold is harmless it isn't. there is a man on ripply's believe it or not that actually lost half of his face because he breathed spores in and they removed his sinuses all of them . again DO NOT TOUCH IT

Use 1 cup of bleach to 5 cups of water....(first put on a mask)
Find the main mold source....tear out that wall, or baseboard.
Put everything outside..........(Plan a day of cleaning) Use gloves. Sweep floor then use an old type mop that looks like long ropes cut up, or hair...Soak the floor all over then use a squeegie to take it out of garage (or put in drain in garage if you have one) Wipe down walls. with the same kind of solution. Then put things back. If you need more help or info, ask Home Depot.. They are good to help.

The best thing to clean mold is bleach. Can you use a pressure washer? It will speed up the process if you can without doing any damage. Is the mold on concrete or drywall? If it's concrete clean it as mentioned, if drywall it's ruined and needs replacing.

You can use White Vinegar, just use about one to one and half cups of Vinegar to a half bucket of hot water, don't use this solution however if your garage is drywall but any other material is fine and you can use White Vinegar neat also just sponge it on and leave for a few hours then rinse off. Then after this has been done, paint your problem area and add a mildewcide to the paint, this is available in interior and exterior grades

you should at least have the mold assessed by a mold person (hazards waste remover) If you remove it yourself you need a respirator mask (rubber mask with filters) not just a dust mask. bleach with a spray bottle should work. you also need to find out where the mold is coming from. you don't want to clean it just to have it come back. if the mold is on drywall it will have to be removed. remember if even a small amount of mold spoors remain they just need moisture to start to grow again

Good old bleach water is the best and simplest way to get rid of mold. You could use an old mop and just mop down the walls with bleach water.

I agree with Chuck, especially about the drywall. If you mix the bleach 1/2 bleach with 1/2 water and put it in a spray bottle, or one of those garden sprayers, about 19.00 at Home Depot. Do one wall at a time, you don't want to stay in there to long. Use a mask. Please be sure to have alot of ventilation, it will eat your lungs up.

i think of this might nicely be a reliable venture, (cluttered residences might nicely be extraordinarily risky in a house fire) yet your mom desires delicate handling. It looks like she frequently tries to flee from the right here-&-now. (in step with hazard she has melancholy ?) ... i might advise you ask her to set aside the specific products -- not the "merely-in-case" ones, & not those she have been given "because of fact it became on sale" -- those that are specific to her; videotape her with each and each, describing each and each merchandise & why this is specific to her. make it casual, like an interview with somebody you adore. Then ask her (off digital camera) what destiny might make her maximum relaxed approximately each and each merchandise . might she want this in a museum ? might she want this to bypass into your cousin's homestead? might she want that to be recycled? honor her desires. Later, on the storage sale, take a polaroid photograph of the persons who purchase each and all of the specific products, posing, smiling, preserving that distinctive merchandise; and placed the photographs in a scrapbook so she will inspect it any time & see that the element wasn't "merely tossed", that's being liked, that's doing somebody some reliable. That way she will nonetheless delight in the strategies. you already understand what your guy or woman advantages would be: an orderly homestead. What advantages does she want ? locate out. Does she want extra books ? ok -- yet first she has to "make room for extra" (it is easier to hearken to than "get rid of a few stuff" !)

It probably isn't mold, but mildew. Do the bleach thing. But, if you don't eliminate the moisture problem, it will come right back. Try a dehumidifier.

Paint kills mold.... Paint the walls that have it growing on it. It kills the mold.
Also on the floors etc use bleach. Straight bleach not bleach water... Straight bleach.
I recommend using the splashless bleach made by clorox. It's thick and will stick to the mold better.
