How long till they make a new track so that 43 cars can race side by side?

The frickin idiots have already given way to much power to sponsors like NEXTEL saying who can have certain sponsors and who can not. Isnt nascar all about free enterprise???Plus they added 2 more spots for the chase due to sponsor pressure.

Also is it me or are they playing more of that gay *** ger music during the races just to get more blacks and hispanics into the sport which has been around for about 45 years so if they arent into it yet then to hell with them.

And now the final straw of introducing the IROC car or I mean the Car of tommorrow saying it will improve racing and be cheaper. BLAHAHA!!! Any teams that bought into that are just ignorant because as we all no other things will go way up and they will be spending the same if not more later. Plus nascar is all about saftey and with the new wing design the drivers already say they cant see out of the back. Just waitnig for the new track that has room for 43 cars to race side by side since now they have even the field.

Won't happen pal. The sponsors won't allow it. Bill France can't speak because the sponsors have shoved so much money up his a**, so the sponsors call the shots. Corporate America will tell you what you are allowed to see. Time for a revolution?

As critical as I am of NASCAR I try and get my facts right. I'm a fan of certain teams and I love racing. So when I make criticism of what's going on I'm careful as I love the sport.

I'd suggest you either go troll someplace else if you don't like the sport as we all have things we don't like. I for one HATE soccer immensely but I don't go to soccer forums and post on how lame it is, or how unmanly the players are, or other stupid things.

First NASCAR added ONE spot to the Chase. I don't agree with the way they did it, and am out spoken about it. But the result was Jeff Gordon deserved to make the Chase, no matter how much I can't stand him.

Second, the music chosen is usually by the TV station. I agree it sucks sometimes but if you don't like it either turn it off, turn down the volume, or turn on the radio broadcast, or don't follow the sport.

As for the cars, you're many years late. The COT has been around many years, and we're not into the second generation of them. The newest updates to the car aren't perfect but they're much better than the winged things that NASCAR came up with when the COT came out. At least they're STARTING to look like cars again. And yes they have a long way to go. Personally I like the Nationwide cars better as they actually look cool.

Now to answer your question. Pocono is as wide as practical. Watch the races there and you'll see them go about 5, or 6 wide and from time to time try even more. Any wider a track just doesn't make sense, and I'm not sure it would make for good racing. So you're not going to see it happen. So watch the Pocono races if you want to see a bunch of cars racing side by side.

By the time NASCAR comes back to Bristol, the track will be resurfaced with concrete and the degree of the track will increase! This will make for an outside groove where passing will be made on the outside as well as the inside!

It is called Talladega and Daytona. They can't get any closer!

As for multiple grooves, several tracks have them. Tracks like Atlanta and Michigan are easy to pass at and drivers run all over.

Forty-three cars racing side by side? That would be one very WIDE race track.
