My husband and I have been running one on our own since 2003. We started off with a 84 dodge astro mini van and $400. Our sale for last year was $180,000 and we live in a podunk area with a fairly small population. Our sales have doubled each year in business and is now our sole source of income for our family.

I dont know what you mean by "proper way" that is all up to you.

I can tell you, its a butt load of work, but what self owned business isnt.

If you previously worked for an autoglass company, and you have experience in the field. Take the good things you learned and the bad stuff you saw and use that to guide you in how you want your company to be!

As long as you are not in an overly saturated location, and you have a good idea on what the public is looking for in a provider you will be fine.

Be honest and upfront with customers and treat them with the upmost respect and you will do well.
