Is Landon Donovan after today's performance do u think his as good as any Europe player?

he's not consistant enough. Dosen't always have his head in the game. maybe the USA vs Czech game was a wake up call cause he has played some fantastic ball since.

Obviously you're entitled to your own opinion, but being one of the world's greatest is more than just scoring a hat trick in a friendly match. Donovan is a good player, but you cannot seriously believe him to be one of the best in the world...Can you honestly compare him to the likes of current players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard, and Ronaldinho? These guys could absolutely annihilate Donovan. They all play in the world's biggest leagues, for the some of the world's biggest clubs, and for some of the world's most successful national teams. Not to mention they are some of the most successful players of today. Donovan is no where close to achieving what these players have achieved. I think he still has a long way to go.

there is no way you can compare donovan to a european player. he is a great player in the mls but not europe. he already had his chance to play in europe and he wasnt any good so he came back to the mls. donovan could be one the best in the world, but he would have to go back to europe and prove that he has the skills to play in the top european leagues

He couldn't even MAKE it in Europe...when he played in the German league bundesliga...he had to take his *** bak to MLS. ONE of the best players in the world??? I beggg to differ

People say Landon Donovan played great today...blah blah against ECUADOR. how can you compare him to a European player?

no dout he had a very good game, and i believe he can play in europe if we wanted to. but he is not one of the greatest players in the world......he is just a good player.

Below average player. Wouldn't have a contract if he was european.
