Tubes tied 4mths ago .. Period help!?
I had my tubes tied 4mths ago when i had my daughter by C-section. I am now on my 3rd period since her birth. The first time i got them after she was born they were very light, i was'nt even sure if i could say it was my period until next mth same time i got them again this time VERY heavy!I know my bodys getting back to normal after her birth but with my other children they went back to normal straight away. Normal to me was heavy (what i thought was) for the first 2days and then it would slow down & stop, i had them 5-6days. They have been irregular ever since i started getting them at age 11. The last 2mths have been horrible when ive gotten them, Bad cramping, no energy, sleepy all the time and for first 3 days VERY VERY heavy. Filling a whole pad in a few hrs(a pad for heavy) and at night ive been wearing a pad ment for materinity & when i get up 8hrs later its ready to overflow (b4 at night i barley bleed) Has anyone had similar problems? Or ideas on what i can do? Thank You!

unfortunately these are common side effects from having your tubes tied. My periods went back to being "normal", like what your normal was, about a year after the surgery. My OB put me on a very low dose of BC pills to help regulate and control the bad cramps and heavy bleeding. Might not be a bad idea to consult with your ob-gyn if things dont get better for you.

I had my tubes tied almost two years ago. Since then, I've had very heavy periods with terrible cramps and fatigue. I'm not really sure why it happens, but I've got a couple of other friends with the same problem.
You might be able to take birth control pills or the depo shot...the depo shot will either make your periods stop, make them lighter or make them much heavier...but you won't know which it will do until you try it. Talk to your doctor.

give your body a little more time to even itself back up, the first 6 to 9 months after pregnancy are nuts (especially after a c section). all my babies (3) were c section, when you don't have a natural birth your body wasn't able to expel everything the way it usually does, where the longer yuckier periods come in. on the other hand, i too, got my tubes tied and ever since ( 4 years ago) my periods have been much longer and heavier and more cramping. not sure why, but it has been so.

My pal had her tubes tied and have been given pregnant. some how the tubes fused mutually, and made an entire for the stuff to flow via. Her infant is now 10 years previous. so which you will possibly desire to be. Take a attempt purely incase.

I had horribly heavy periods for about a year or so after I had my tubes tied! I wished that someone would have told me about that because I thought I was going to bleed to death! They straightened out, though, and got back to normal, so I wouldn't worry -- you just have to tough it out!
