He couldn't pass clean, so he didn't pass. That's how Jeff Burton races.

The only way Burton could have won was to wreck Busch. Burton is a class driver, and does not do that. Gordon could have easily wrecked Busch as well in turn 1 after the restart, and he also is a class driver and backed off, which allowed Burton to get past him on top.

Jeff Burton didn't LET Kyle Busch win. Kyle Busch won because the caution came out at just the right time... and it was Kyle's brother (concidence? I think not !! lol) that caused it. I think if Burton would've had a little more time he could've sealed the deal. I think both Kyle & Jeff Burton are great race car driver's and did the best they could without being in a wreck themselves... as for the rest of the race, Matt Kenseth should hang his head in shame, Dale Jarrett FINALLY gets in on time and then gets taken out by Matt. Kind of gave me flashbacks to Matt & Gordon last season. Matt needs to learn to drive !! and on a happy note...How about that Jeff Gordon? From almost LAST place to a 3rd place finish ?? OUTSTANDING !!!!

In an interview on SPEED channel's Victory Lane, Jeff Burton said that he was driving his car as hard as he could. I believe he meant he was driving it as hard as he could WITHOUT wrecking himself, Kyle Busch or both of them. I think Gordon was awfully close to being able to dump Kyle as well but give the kid a little credit, he did what he had to to win at Bristol. Where he really won the race was when he shot ahead of Hamlin right before the caution got thrown with 15 or 16 to go. Jeff Burton is about as classy a driver as you will find and NOT wrecking Kyle might have been to his advantage in the big picture as he may have taken himself out as well or opened the door for Gordon. Gordon WOULD have spun him for sure, even though it's his teammate, if Burton hadn't gotten around him.

He didn't "let him" win. Sure, Burton could have gone balls out and wrecked them both just for a shot, but that's so not his style. He raced hard to the end, managed to pass up "Golden Boy", but Busch still had him by a nose.

He raced him clean but should have gave him a little bump and wiggle to get past him. Bush would have done it to him. Look at the Las Vegas Busch race. Burton passed bush and bush tried to block him bump him and ended up crossing the finish line backwards. Burton should have been dirty. Had it been reversed burton would have been wrecked.

burton was pretty quick towards the end & could of won, BUT
he is & is a by far better driver to know not to push it!!
i mean ,be a gordon or a johnson they would have wrecked him!! i am no kyle busch fan at all !!REMEMBER THIS !!

Jeff Burton is just one of the classiest drivers period. He's my favorite driver, and I really wanted him to win, but not by wrecking someone. Just another 100 feet though and he would've had him.

Burton is gong to race you hard and clean..not hard and dirty..he wants to win the right way

He was showing his sportsmanship so he didn't bump Busch. That was an act of class don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you.
