Can any one tell me what's wrong with my computer? Not sure if it's a virus, hacker or malfunction (or combo).
Ok, this is what's been happening. I'll be in the middle of doing something, and will suddenly lose control of my cursor. My mouse will not move it and it moves itself. Originally it caused no real problems, just opened the start menu and annoyed me because I couldn't do what I was doing. In order to regain control I have to press Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up Task Menu. Only once have I seen an unknown program listed, it said "100% complete" before promptly disappearing. More recently it has been opening Paint, resizing program windows, closing Internet Explorer, and selecting Easy-WebPrint. It occurs at random stages during sessions on the computer. What could this be? I would appreciate any help, so I do not have to take my computer to my expert where I will have to leave it for two weeks, as they live out of town (two weeks without computer? I don't know how I'd go for two days!). Thanks in advance...

The chances are good that you have an intermittent short circuit or an open circuit in your mouse wiring. Or if it is a wireless mouse, check your batteries. Also, if it's a wireless be sure that there is no obstructions between the mouse and the sensor.
Invest 5 bucks in a new mouse, a cheapie, before you send the machine to your "expert". It's good to have a spare anyway!
Good luck.

first to BenC ur right except most clever programmers can get around msconfig and taskmanager and all that sounds as though it could be a root kit but i doubt it it might be an evil java application but also highly unlikely java is to secure or the other answers could be right and someone has gotten into ur remote desktop control thing one of windows biggest security holes in tems of fixing it certain anti virus things will help avg free spybot s&d

Almost certainly a virus. What!? You don't have antivirus software? Download and run the free version of AVG...
While you're there, you might as well grab the anti-spyware program too. If you've got a virus, you've probably got a bunch of spyware, too.
Anyway, once you have the antivirus program, run it and when it shows all the nasties it's found, have it delete them all. Then reboot your computer and run it again.
Then run the antispyware program if you downloaded it.

Looks like someone enable remote desktop on your computer, or install VNC (Virtual Network Computing). First look at the add remove programs see if there's something like that over there. If you see it then uninstall it, I'm sure it's your computer is it?
Second look at the msconfig see what starting up over there. Go to start / run / type "msconfig" locate the start up tab see if there is something like that starting up over there. Unchecked if you see something there like VNC.
Third is to see if someone enable remote desktop in you computer. Right click the my computer icon on your desktop / select properties / click on remote tab / unchecked both boxes for remote assistance and remote desktop. If there's a check, definitely someone mess with your computer.
