What would be the best way to handle this situation?
This guy is trying to rip me off by claiming he had sent me 1,250 from paypal. I had my saxophone on ebay for bidding and this guy says he would give me 1250 if he shipped a saxophone to africa. I said when i get the payment i would ship it. It was a $350 sax so I had an idea this guy was up to no good or just a dumbass.
The next day he gives me some bogus paypal payment reciept and said that he had sent me 1250, when I checked my paypal account it said it was $0. I just had to confirm my shipping number then the money would be released. So I just now laughed and I am trying to think of something clever but I am drawing blank. I need help.

I think you're handling it perfectly. You didn't send him anything, as lot of other people might have. Some people would be dumb enough to actually send the sax before the money was in hand.
If you want to play with him, you have to actually make him believe that you are going to send the sax. But actually it's probably too late. The guy probably tries to dupe people a million times a day, so why would he waste anymore time with you when you've already figured him out?
