What are some low maintenance and economical plants or flowers that I could plant in my yard?

I just bought my first home. It is a new construction. I do not have experience with gardening but I want my yard to look pretty. I live in GA. My front yard gets lots of sunshine and right now rain is scarce. HELP!

Daylilies are a great landscaping flower. They come up every year and will spread and then can be divided to put in other areas. They love lots of sunshine and are drought tolerant. They also come in assorted colors and sizes. Some are even double bloomers. And the plant looks nice. There is a place in TN that sells very nice plants, but your local nursery should have a fairly decent variety.

this is substantial to appreciate regardless of if the flowers would be in coloration or solar. are you able to provide slightly extra info? ok- on your section in the solar: For some top and eco-friendly in the historic past, i concept those possibilities could be superb. Perennials: (extra high priced yet will final 300 and sixty 5 days after 300 and sixty 5 days) Viburnum- med length shrub that blooms seasonally gray Owl Juniper- ask for the female ones they provide you blue cones Holly - continuously a good evergreen with dark waxy leaves in the foreground some annuals for a sprint of coloration. listed right here are some to make a call from that I even have used and prefer: Cosmos- they are taller than maximum annuals Impatiens- they don't look to be drought hardy and do want a minimum of partial coloration yet in any different case very appealing. African daisies- very happy flower i think of Zinnia-pop of coloration! Now i visit signify an herb-Rosemary. there's a bush kind that's particularly hardy and in case you have it next to a walkway the scent is astonishing for passersby. i could want to pass on some friendly suggestion if i will additionally. pass to an outstanding nursery not a branch keep backyard midsection. you will have knowledgeable team obtainable to you and healthful flowers.

You'll get the biggest bang for your buck with perennials because you don't have to plant them each year. Bulbs also work well for the same reason.

Easy to grow flowers in Ga in full sun include begonias and lantana. Start with larger plants ( like trees, shrubs) first though. Plant them in the back and work your way down to low plants and flowers in the front. Garden Centers can help you.
