Learn from your mistakes, walk away quickly. Heck....run! I have a half-sister that is like that. When she got mad at me, she called my daughter at work and told her she had better get to the hospital, her mother was there. My daughter freaked out, left her work for the day to find out that I was fine and at work. We don't bother with that sister anymore. She is selfish, mean, vindictive, dependent and lazy. She is just plain nasty. After several times being screwed over by her I have completely cut her out of my life and it was the best choice I ever made.

Confront them and let them know if it continues you will contact your attorney. People can be sued for slander. As for your job, can you talk to your employer and try to get your job back? If not you can also sue for loss of pay.

My daughter had this problem at work with the parent of her ex friend. I hired an attorney, he sent a cease and desist letter making threat of legal action. She decided to shut up.

Confront him/her and then stay as far away from him/her as possible. Don't let them know whats going on in you're life. It's a shame that a family member is interfering with you. If it gets real bad get a restraining order on them.
