What's the deal with the rampant Thumbs Downs?
Have you noticed that someone is going through our Answers and giving everyone responding to a Question a Thumbs Down? I'm finding this increasingly annoying because every answer "awarded" a Thumbs Down has been a good one! Is there anything we can do?

Some do it just to be mean. It is just them being mean and absolutely no reflection on the ansser. Maybe they didn't like your answer on some other question so now they look at all your answers and give them all "thumbs down."
That's not so bad though, if you really stop and think about it. It's not like a "thumbs down" costs anyone any points. It's the frivolous allegations of violations that hurt because, with them, you lose points!

I have noticed this also. There will not be not one thumbs up and every answer is a good one, but yet there is someone that thumbs down every answer. I just go through and add the thumbs up to them.

It's just an anonymous "thumb troll". The thumbs-down don't count for anything. They don't deduct points. They don't give points to the person doing it. So it is just as easy to ignore them. I never even look at my thumbs (unless I'm chosen Best Answer -- then I check to see if I got any UP ones, since that will give me additional points!)
