In many ways. One example: You logged in and asked a question. You should get minus -5 points. But between the previous log out and this login two things have happened: you got 10 points for the best answer and you had logged out previously before you collected the 2 points for the last answer. So you get the net result 7 points as soon as you posted the question on the second login.

The "Whoa" counter is triggered everytime 2 or more actions happen at once (e.g. if you answered a question and some people gave you thumbs up at the same time).
It most likely happened that you signed in (1 pt) and got 6 thumbs up.

It is ALL automated!
Any Question remains for a certain time as "OPEN". Every Answer received is directed to the email id given by that Member.
It is the privilege of the 'asker' to select the so called Best Answer. This question is not Open any more for others to reply. it is treated as resolved!
If your Answer is the "Lucky" one selected as Best you get your Bonus and an intimation Mail. What more do you want for efficiency.
