What is LEAN manufacturing?

Lean manufacturing is the principle where work in progress on a factory floor is minimized, to reduce costs associated with having parts tied up in production.

In short it means to get rid of all the dead weight and fire people who are not needed

Management will call it "right sizing" and employees will call it getting canned. The remaining employees will be forced to work harder and do the work of two people. Management gets a big xmas bonus and they are heros
