How do we verify income for tenant on S.S.I.?

We just bought apartment building and future tenant on disablilty. Where do we call to check on this to verify?

    in addition to the letter at the end of the year, you could also have him show u a current copy of his bank statement, with the direct deposit highlighted. sometimes people can lose their disabled status, so this way you would know that he is still recieving monies for it. also just in case they're trying to "fake" being on disability (there are some twisted, unscrupulous people out there) , and once they're in your apartment, you could be in for the long haul if they decide to screw you. and if they are on disability, they could be one of your best tenants

    He or she should get a letter at the end of each year that states what their expected benefit is for the coming year. You can ask for a copy of that.

    Social security administration you can also have the tennat bring a social security print out that would be easiest

    that person has has to get that information from the social security office,you cant get it on your own.

    I would simply ask him or her for the monthly statements.
