NASA's Earth from area photographic archive (really the Human Interactions area) shows that pictures taken from low orbit reveal that human-outfitted structures mutually with highways, airports, bridges, dams, and elements of the Kennedy area middle can all be obviously considered from area. a lot of those are issues that seem as if lengthy, quickly strains at the same time as considered from afar, mutually with highways, railroads, canals, and definitely walls. If the orbit is low sufficient you'll discover even extra. I have right here a photo of Cape Canaveral taken in the course of the Gemini V flight in which the large launch complicated 39, used for the Apollo missions, is clearly seen. yet another photo of the Nile delta, taken from a acceptable of 100 miles, shows an huge highway community. Gemini V astronauts Gordon Cooper and Charles Conrad were waiting to change into attentive to, between different issues, a particular checkerboard progression that were laid out in Texas, a rocket-sled try in New Mexico, and the plane provider which could later %. them up interior the Atlantic, alongside with a destroyer trailing in its wake.

New Horizons did have the highest speed leaving Earth of any past spacecraft, and may someday surpass the speed record.
However, the current speed record is held by Deep Space One, powered by a Xenon Ion engine, that reached 10.3 km/s.

Currently, it's probably the New Horizons probe going to Pluto. It only took 10 hours to zip past the moon, and 7 weeks to get past the orbit of Mars.

I agree with New Horizons. That vehicle got the most speed from the rockets used to launch it. I don't really count speed gotten from gravity after the vehicle is launched, because humans didn't cause that speed.

I would think that you would need to clarify that. the reason is that when an object is put into space, for instance, it will gain speed with the magnetic currents that are present within the solar system. The speed gained off of the slingshot is tremendous so you would have to state car, plane, ect. :) Cheers
