Carrot Cupcakes - shredded carrots??

I am making carrot cupcakes and I need 2 cups of shredded carrots.

How many carrots do you think will make up 2 cups of shredded carrots?

Update:

I just want an estimate of how many average size carrots would make 2 cups of shredded.

(I won't be shredding up the mini carrots.)

Update 2:

It was about 1 carrot = 1 cup

(when they are shredded they bulk up)

    I think you'll need between 3-4 carrots depending on thier size. I actually just buy pre-shredded carrots. They're in the produce section where the bagged salads and pre-made coleslaw mix is sold.

    2 cups? About 4-5 not too sure, if they are baby carrots, then about 1/2 a bag

    1 medium bag of the baby cut carrots will shred to 2 cups. I'll say six whole carrots, but it will depend on the carrot.
