This is our own "Christmas Day" celebration for just the 4 of us.

we are going to have a shrimp ring, cheese sticks, sausage rolls, and I am not sure what else.

For dessert we are going to have a chocolate fondue with fruit.

I have been told that larger tiles can show more irregularities in the wall and my house is 70 years old so there has been a lot of settling.

The least expensive tiles I have found are 6"x6" - does that sound like a good size?

I have a got a 4.14Kg (9.12lb) BEEF POT ROAST with the BONE IN.

I thought I would cook it in the slow cooker but it does not fit.

Please give me recipes that I can use to cook this thing.

Foods I have on hand are:

cauliflower, red pepper, broccoli, carrots, celery, lemon juice, 1/2 bottle red wine, apples, mushrooms, eggs, milk, lots of different canned beans (kidney, chick peas, black beans), garlic, most spices (curry, oregano, thyme, cayenne, paprika, etc), quinoa,

rice (brown and white)

I don't have potatoes or cheese.

I would also love suggestions for side dishes.

And I like the idea of making some sort of beef curry with this pot roast.
