Please help me fix my laptop keyboard.....?
When I try to use the U,I,O,P,J,K,L, and M, keys, the numbers on the keys appear instead of the letters. Also the colon, and question mark keys appear as + and /.
I have worked out by holding down the "FN" key the letters appear but then the letter T doesn't work unless the "FN" is realised.
It's really awful typing with one hand when you are used to two - its driving me nuts - please help!!!!!!

he, he... do not dispair my good friend. Two-hand typing will be shortly back with you (hopefully...)
What must have happened is that you have activated the Num Lock function. I'm guessing that you've used a traditional (non-laptop) keyboard and know ehat this key does (it actually locks the functions of the numeric keypad to correspond to the numbers rather than directional keys).
In many laptops, you can use Num Lock to have the respective keys correspond to numbers than letters. Here's what to do:
1. Locate a key on your keyboard that has the Num Lock label on it. It will be there with something else, such as the F11 or Insert key.
2. Hold Fn and press that button.
Normally, laptops have a light that indicates the Num Lock status (same as the Caps Lock one). Try using the keyboard again and check if that light is switched off.
Hope this helps :)

Sounds to me that your keyboard region settings are set wrong.
Go into Control Panel, then regional settings then look for keyboards.
Change it to your location (English UK or English US)
