Has anyone else ever noticed that nobody can spell lose? always loose!?

I'd noticed it as well. There was a question the other day that started "Am I going to loose my boyfriend?" As I waited for the question to open I had visions of bondage, only to find the poor girl thought she was about to be dumped!

The standard of spelling and grammar is bad on here. I agree with the answerer above who said people's brains are going faster than their fingers; I can excuse that if I can understand the question.

The spell checker is no use if you don't know when to use loose/lose, or there/their/they're., etc.

There's loads of dodgy spelling! It's because people tend to think faster than they can type, then don't bother to read it back before submitting. Don't suppose it matters if you can still work out what they're trying to say.

Yes. I hate spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Other irritating examples are people who can't differentiate between there, their and they're; two, to and too; its and it's. It's really dreadful.

Oh there's loads of them ! My favourite is the woman on YA who said she had "low self asteam"

I'm weary of those who can't spell, but they too have a right to be heard, so I try to button my lip.

Have you noticed how many dumb Americans who can only speak 1 language often complain about when a polyglot makes mistakes in English when it's not even his mother tongue.

I hate people that can't spell. It's so annoying, and just proves either our school system sucks or people are just plain dumb

Are we on to pet hates? I have three; the word "amount" being used instead of number as in "amount of people". People are not weighed like flour but come in discrete numbers. Principal/principle which speaks for itself and those who use the word "I" when "me" is

correct as in "He brought tickets for my friend and I" Ugh!!

i think thats y computers was invented to save us learnin more lol well its a common mistake to make any1 can do it.....but u no no1s perfect
