What's the weirdest thing ever happened to you on a ride?

had a stroke.

I crashed head on with this scooter-like motorcycle ( known as an 'underbone' type ) and got a bleeding nose ( my front wheel was like a pretzel---no other damage---its a Diamondback hardtail without front suspension!). The funny part was his bike got a badly damaged front disc brake ( which he claimed he had to pay---I was mad at the bonehead after the accident---but no damage bills were claimed on our 'arrangement') his damage report was costly---I only had a NEW rim installed---and the bleeding nose? No clinic bills too! My fault? I didn't wear a helmet---now I make it a point to wear one ALL the time. The wacko also had to repair the lights which malfunctioned later after his disc brakes were repaired! ahhh...American bikes are TOUGH indeed!

Wow, Scott, my rides are quite boring when I read about your adventures! I've just had the usual encounter with inattentive drivers. Got hit once, run off the road a couple times, but that's about it.

i was speeding on my bike abt 30 km per hour when a child went across my path.using my instincts i suddenly used my front brakes and my bike vertically overturned and stopped in front of the child and i just walk away with no injuries!!!

haha, a squirrel got caught in my front rim and spined about three times, i was riding really fast then my chain broke into a thousand pieces
