The firing order of a V-8 engine:

A. is dependent on the arrangement of the crankshaft throws

B. is the same for any V-8 Engine

C. is usually adjusted at each tune-up

D. is always set so one cylinder is fired on each 1/8th turn of the crankshaft

    a. is the correct answer. d is incorrect because one cyl. fires each 1/4 turn, as it takes two revolutions of the crankshaft; one revolution of the camshaft to fire all 8 cyls.

    The answer is A. Not all v-8's have the same firing order, it's not adjustable, and some engines fire two cyl at a time, so d is out as well.
