If there is an amnesty for all illegal immigrants, which will eventually happen, how many of them will?
actually apply for U.S. citizenship. For that matter, does anyone have any numbers as to how many applied for U.S. citizenship when the first amnesty was declared?

3 million illegal immigrants were given amnesty in 1986 and now instead of having a law-abiding country we have a 400-600 % increase in illegal immigrant activity and people living in the USA illegally. If they wanted anything other than a legal right to break the law, we wouldn't have anymore illegal immigrants in this country. All amnesty will do is encourage more. Why should we allow history to be repeated, especially negative history?

Some unearthly number applied for and received amnesty in '86. I hope this is not done again because it will be triple that number, and then quadripple that number in the next 10 years will illegally enter the US. We cannot afford all the illegals.
