If United We Stand means anything.....?
Then can we get corporations to listen to how pissed we are about high gas prices.
What would happen if people didn't go to work for a month and not drive their cars would gas prices go down?

Gas prices would not go down if people stopped driving. They oil companys would probably just sell their gas somewhere else (like China). The world wide demand for gas is too high for a boycot to have an effect.
What most people forget about gas prices is that one reason prices are so high are the taxes on gas. The state governments make more money off every gallon of gas sold then the oil companies do. Here in Pennsylvania the gas tax is 50 cents a gallon. In some states like California it is over a dollar. The oil companies make less than 10 cents profit per gallon.
In contrast, I worked for a major clothing retailer and on most items we sold we made at least 40% profit. Some items like fine jewelry we made 70% or 80% profit. The oil companies make a much smaller profit per gallon than most people are lead to believe.
The reason they make so much money in the end is because of the quantity they sale. Would it really make that much of a difference to you if the oil company cut all their profits and your gas cost went down 6 or 7 cents?
