What is the name of this film and what company released it?
When I was growing up, I often watched a video of Aesop's Fables. I do not remember much about the video, but I remember that in the beginning of the film, the little boy in the film was living with his mother. I also remember that the film's animation was anime-ish. I'm guessing this movie would have had to been released in the 1980s or early '90s.
This film was not the Bill Cosby version.

There was an Aesop's Fables released in 1971. It was released by Filmation Associates.
