    This means you're going for a blood test.

    You can't eat anything past midnight .. then when you

    go to the lab they will draw blood and see what your

    blood glucose level is

    There is no such thing as "fasting diabetes", but what this probably means is that your fasting blood sugar test result was high enough to warrant a diagnosis of diabetes.

    A fasting blood test means they check (take) your blood before you eat breakfast. I guess fasting diabetes means you check your blood sugar before breakfast.
