why is "wrong" spelled wrongly in the dictionary?
according to the riddle "what word is spelled wrong in the dictionary?" the answer is wrong. why is it so??? because wrong is spelt w-r-o-n-g and it is correctly spelled!!!
i just don't get this riddle... can someone help me understand it better? thanks a lot...

Because "Wrong" is spelled w-r-o-n-g, therefore it is spelled wrong (w-r-o-n-g).
You could use the same joke for ANY word...it just wouldn't be as "funny."
It's a lame joke to start with. ;)

wrong is spelled "wrong" in the dictionary, basically it is just like saying "red is spelled 'red' in the dictionary"

The riddle is asking What word is spelled "wrong" meaning what word is spelt "w-r-o-n-g" not which word is spelt incorrectly.
Its like saying "what word is spelt cat in the dictionary?" the answer would be "cat" c-a-t

It is basically asking you what is spelt wrong in the dictionary. Read carefully. Wrong is spelt w-r-o-n-g in the dictionary

It says What word is spelled wrong. So.. wrong is spelled w-r-o-n-g right? well, the question actually is [what word is spelled w-r-o-n-g?] Wrong is the correct answer. Get it?
