I like his show, but often wondered that myself. I'm leaning toward maybe a know it all.

Dr. Phil is dirty rotten stinking filthy rich, which could make quite a difference in the marriage. He's also apparently quite busy with his production company and so forth, which means that his wife could, if she wanted to, live a very independent life.

I don't think someone who is as involved with the media and his career could be either a know-it-all to his wife, or empathetic and wise. Whoever he is married to would have to be prepared to face long periods of time when Dr. Phil is too busy/too tired to be a very involved spouse or parent, and would also have to be prepared to do a lot of public appearance events with him.

It's not the kind of relationship that I would want with a spouse, but for some women who like the spotlight and the perks that come with being married to someone who is a major player in the TV talk show business, it could be quite rewarding both emotionally and materially. I think it all depends on what a person wants out of a marriage.

I think he is a great and loving husband to Robin:) They are both Christians so that makes a BIG difference and when they leave the show together they are always holding hands so that is a great sign as well. She is always at the show with him so that tells me alot about the marriage right there. I think he would me completely empathetic and wise and that God is the center of their marriage. I love Doctor Phil and Robin and i think they are great examples of what marriage should be all about. There is a reason they are married for 30 years and still going very strong! I feel that she loves and honors her husband and is very supportive of him and in what he does and he does the same for her. Why dont you write to them and ask them about the marriage. I am sure they would be happy to share:)

I think Dr. Phil would be a good husband. He's probably a mix between a know-it-all and empathetic and wise.

I really don't know how he would be as a husband because my ex-husband was the worst husband and anyone could think of him as the gem. You really can tell if a man is who is he is until you live with him. I find some men act differently around their wives. You would really know if he would practice what he preaches, so maybe I can say he is a normal human being like us. I would say he would act with his emotions with the lady he loves at times.
