tefillin question cont.?
it was asked if you are to lay tefillin on Pesach.......
I was under the impression that you do except for the first full day, which is treated like shabbat, when you don't........
then, because I am not a male and am not orthodox I got to thinking that I was wrong and I decided to delete my answer till I was positive................
found out that I think I was right but apparently once you delete an answer you can't answer that question again......
so....for any men out there....was this, my original answer, correct?
.........................................................................................................................
Jewish men are supposed to put on teffilin every weekday
but they are not to put it on during Shabbat or other holidays that are to be observed like shabbat
so, on the first full day of Passover, which was yesterday, which Orthodox Jews observe as if it was shabbat, they would not have put on tefillin
but the rest of the holiday they will

You are partially right.
"Generally speaking, Sefardim do not put on Tefillen during the week (hol hamoed) of both Passover and Sukkot. In contrast, Ashkenazim do put on Tefillen during the Passover week (Shulchan Aruch OH 31:2). To the best of my knowledge, Hassidim follow the Sefardi practice in this, and now in Israel the pattern is not to put on Tefillen during Chol HaMoed Pesach.
However, if you are in a service where it is the custom of the congregation to put on Tefillen, check with your Rabbi as to how you should comport yourself; he would be your final authority as your Rabbi."
