Which is more patriotic:?

Unfortunately, the average American hasn't been given the opportunity to REALLY do anything that adds to the well being of the troops. We are not asked to pay higher taxes, use less fuel, make bandages, or build weapons. No sacrifice. The troops and their families are the only ones sacrificing. Do we all recognize this? Of course.

All that's left for people here to do is rant and rave. One side wants to bring the troops home asap and the other wants to stay for years even though we really can not afford that. I think people on both sides of the issue love their country equally.

Congress will be sure the funds are available for the troops this year, but if there is no progress, I don't doubt the only funds for next year will be to bring the troops home. I believe that is completely realistic. All of us hope that there will be stability in Iraq by then.

And how exactly is a person who puts that ribbon on their car supposed to make sure our troops have enough vehicle and personal armor? I believe that would be congress' and they aren't doing it. Somebody like an old guy on a fixed income who puts that ribbon on his car is trying to show his support the best way he can.

I think the best way is to not send them over there though. Fighting a war against a religion is a horrible war to fight. Come home after the war vs Iraq was over.

I feel I am very patriotic. I support every amendment, I love my country, and am against the war because it isn't in our best interest. Removing Sadam is great, but he wasn't half as bad as many African leaders of countries that need to have their governments replaced.

We could also have spent the money we spent on Iraq on the US. Close our borders, imporve our education, so we don't have to worry about home grown terror and can compete with other countries.

Making sure our troops have enough vehicles means nothing when they're constantly being attacked by insurgents who have nothing and nothing to lose.

We need to support our troops by getting them out of Iraq.

Buying a "Support the Troops" ribbon for my car and voting Republican so troops get the funding and support they deserve.

Democrats are to busy running scared and wanting to pull out of Iraq to support our troops.

They are both important.

When you put a ribbon on your car which is most likely a magnet it shows the guys when they are on leave or home from a tour your support.

Other than that you have to make a conscious decision how you support them with vehicles or supplies.

Vote for representitives who want to arm them and not people whoe wnat to disarm them for political reasons.

Look, I don't care about your ribbons, I don't care about your political posturings, the bottom line is this:

If you haven't eaten a meal with someone in uniform in the last twelve months, you don't support the troops, and I don't give a rip whether you're a liberal or a retired general hoping we nuke somebody.

Definitely the ribbon! Especially if it is made in China!

How about either enlisting or working as a civil servant for DOD and working side by side with them.

Definitely the latter.
