Nursing is a very demanding job that some people are just not into. It has more negatives than positives for example: cleaning up patients feces, sticking a tube up a patients urethra, working on holidays, paperwork, etc. The salary is what brings most people in. Where I live, nurses get paid $62,000/yr starting with the salary increasing as the longer they work there.

Being a nurse I love my job... I think it is very demanding depending on what kind of nurse you are but it is also rewarding. Working in a nursing home which never closes makes the holidays tough but once I am there it is usually very rewarding.
