www.thesamba.com/classifieds under the parts section. Just know who you are dealing with and that you are not overpaying.

Salvage yards, ebay, a number of places. You can even call VW and find other years that have compatible parts that you may need. The older the car the more difficult it is to find parts and especially cheap ones.

I remember when these things were a dime a dozen. Alas, they may have entered the "classic" realm, and are not cheap anymore. If so, the best place to look would be in private party printed ads in Newspapers or the Recycler. Auto salvage yards are no help here. Neither are you going to find any deals on E-BAY or on line. Tip: try the local tow yards who sell these and any other car dirt cheap at monthly auctions from owners who abandoned them!

A word of advice, generaly the cheaper the price of the part the worse the quality of the part. Keep this in mind, especialy with repro vw parts some can be just unusable. You usualy get what you pay for. just something to think about. good luck.

    easy...

J.C. whitney sells new parts (generally from Brazil)

you should find everything you need there, but be sure you order the right part. They often have them mislabeled but will pay for the shipping to return it.
