In what order...?
...Do you perform the following:
A. Buckle your seat belt.
B. Start the car.
C. Put the car in drive and start moving.
My oh-so-unscientific observation suggests that, in general, women will do it in the order I listed above; men will actually start the car and get it moving, then pull the seat belt across and buckle it.
I've noticed that I tend to start the car, then buckle, then start moving. Don't know why. How about you?

In the states that have a seatbelt ticket law--which might be every state-- swequence ABC is the best way to prevent having a cop pull you over to write you a ticket. I usually go with the adage of doing the most important things first--no doubt, wearing a seatbelt is the most important, as so is ticket prevention!! You can never be too safe--no matter how many airbags you car has.

In the winter, I start the car first. Then scrape the windows. Then run into the house to thaw. Then get back in the car, fasten seatbelt. Then drive.
In the summer, just like you have it. Turn on the AC before driving.
