Simple answer is they are as good as the Beretta that they are a clone of, simply because they are actually made in the factory Beretta built in Brazil and they are officially licensed by Beretta......and it's a good, sturdy pistol.

I had one but sold it, nothing wrong with it, but I prefer my all-metal 9mm pistols to be Browning Hi-Powers.

Click the link below to watch a guy shooting one. He's new at this you can tell.....he first fails to completly rack the slide after putting a magazine in, which is kinda obvious, but then he has some flinch which you can notice as he's pulling the trigger in anticipation of fire on several rounds. Practice!

Some experts consider the Taurus to be as good, or better than it's "krunchenticker" clone brother, the Beretta 92, but how far does that go when the U.S. military are finally beginning to admit the failings of the "Mighty 9" and, beginning with Special Ops units, are looking elsewhere for a more serviceable weapon.

If you are considering a purchase, you would be better off, for somewhat more money, purchasing better quality pistols, such as H-K, Glock, SIG, or even, as one gent mentioned, the veteran Browning pattern P-35 High-Power.

Taurus is a very good brand. I have several the before mentioned PT92, and a few others. I have never had any trouble with any of them and often carry the Millennium in the 45ACP.

If you are looking for something for plinking or because the military is currently caring it that is ok. But if you want something that you can depend on to save your life the 45ACP is a better choice but for some it takes a little practice.

Taurus handguns are very reliable for a civilian, the only thing I don't like about them is the white lettering on them. Was considering buying that exact gun, but the words Taurus were white on a black gun.

I think it's a good pistol for the price and much cheaper than Beretta. Go to www.handgunreview.com to read some reviews.
