Level 4 :-( !!!!!!?

I've just reached Level 4 yesterday but surprisingly there was no email from Yahoo! Answers; that notification that's supposed to say "Congratulations, you reached Level 4!"

Actually, the only reason I wanted to just complete my points up to Level 4 was to see that glamorous, rewarding congrats email!

If you've been there before, can you tell me if you received one for Level 4?

Also I checked my Mail Options, I haven't accidentally added Yahoo! Answers to the Spam addresses or anything.

Update:

Well "Debi in LA", Yahoo! Answers isn't my LIFE, and not getting an email won't stop me from going to sleep at night. :-)

I have other things to do; I was just curious, and I use Y!A to spend my time, so don't think I'm crying over level 4. :-P :-)

Update 2:

Thanks everyone. Your answers were better and more rewarding than the Yahoo! standard email.

Congratulations to us all! We don't need Yahoo!

It's just a standard, universal, uniform letter anyway. But I understand your joy. However I'm so use to it I already know what it says so I don't even open it.

Well, I had reach level 4 like 2 or 3 week ago. And yes, I did received a congrats email from Yahoo!Answers very next day. So, I hope you will get yours soon. Maybe the system is updating. Give it sometimes. And by the way, congratulation to you as well.

Congratulations on reaching level 4.. keep working on it and eventually you'll reach the next level.. I'm almost to level 6, and have been working on it for awhle.. LOL..

Of course, I'm a little pickier about the questions I'm answering now, too, so that makes it take a little longer..

I don't answer quite as many 'dumb' questions, although, sometimes, when the lead in looks dumb, the question is actually a real need, soooo, can't judge a book, etc, etc..

Plus, of course, you're reaching a higher and higher level and probably working to give better answers to increase the number of best answers you get, soooo, it's hard work..

When I reached level 2, I received a congratulatory e-mail. Then I asked a question which brought me back down to level 1. After answering a few more questions, I was back up to level 2, and received another congratulatory e-mail.

This leads me to believe that I triggered an automated e-mail when I passed a certian point threshold.

Yahoo! answers has been updating the system lately. My guess is that a glitch caused the automation not to work, or it was disabled when you passed the point threshold.

    CONGRATULATIONS FOR REACHING LEVEL 4!

Do a little dance, and pat yourself on the back!

I just reached level 4 and got no e-mail either. I also don't get alerts to my answers anymore even though I have that option selected in my preferences. I think it is because of the recent changes to YA. Hopefully I will reach level 5 soon and see what happens then.

I'm sorry, I just reached level 6 recently and they sent me something in an email. Maybe yahoo was doing some maintenance or something. But congrats!

I am at level 5. NO extra treatment for level 5 either. I think level 7 is where I want to be. Takes a long time

    Haha, I got 2 level 5 e-mails

see, when I had 5004 points, I asked a questions, then I voted for something and voila! got 2 e-mails

If you want I can forward a level 5 e-mail to you, and I might have a level 4 e-mail in my inbox I could send that too

    I'm level 4 and didn't get nor expect a 'congrat's' email.

I mostly answer questions to take the 'edge' off six day weeks of 12 hour days continuous writing in Microsoft Word.

I didn't get nor don't expect Yahoo to send me anything.

You've got to realize that all 'Yahoo!Answers' means to Yahoo as a business is, more money, money, money made on the advertisements sold in their overall Yahoo System. Yes, I know that Yahoo Answers doesn't have ads related to 'Yahoo Answers' but it DOES on 'Yahoo Mail' and 'Yahoo!"

----> and, you need to open one or both or another of Yahoo's 'advertising sites' to get to 'Yahoo Answers.'

You see one or more ads before you get to Yahoo Answers and the companies who pay for those ads pay on a ratio based on the number of people who use 'Yahoo' - not just how many do things in one or the other Yahoo freebies.

Yahoo is in business to make money, not just to give you and me and the rest of the people who use Yahoo 'freebies' those 'freebies' - they are the bait to get many, many, many people into any 'Yahoo' freebie so that Yahoo's 'score' of users is HIGH, HIGH, HIGH.

Someplace along the line, if you continue to answer 'Answers,' you will get a nice pat on your back from Yahoo - they wnat to keep us working for them.
