your battery is dead. if you jumper cables hook em up to one car and hook it up the the car that has a dead battery, then try to start up the car (wait a few min. to get enough power to start it). after it starts keep it running. the best thing to do is drive it ( for a little while ) the alternator will automatically charge up your battery. Make sure to start it as much as you can [ keep it running when you do because acids will be in your engine if you don't ( that means do not start it and turn it right back off again)]

if its a Manuel have some one push it after you gain enough speed pop the clutch ( jump start will work on both auto and Manuel

    good luck :)

when the car is not running, any electrical items used (radio, headlights, etc) will use the battery's power. when a car is running, the battery gets recharged by the engine - but obviously can only last on recharges for so long. when was the battery last replaced? if you don't know, cant remember, or know it was a long time ago, get a new one. if that doesnt help, have a mechanic look at it. for the future, tell your son if hes going to run the radio like that, he needs to start his car every now and then and let it run for a few minutes to prevent the battery from dying - theyre not cheap.

It really sounds like a battery problem. Is anything working in the car when you turn it on such as the lights, radio, signals, etc? That would be the first thing to check out. Best wishes!!!

i own a shop and you need to make sure its in park all the way and also make sure the battery is fully charged up ,if it is and it don't start you may need a starter for it,it would have helped if you had said what kind of car it is,and what engine you have ,but that s the most common problems with one not starting most of the time, good luck i hope this helps.

It could be your starter or your battery. My battery was dead and when i went to start my car it didnt make know noise. I had to get a knew battery but when i called the people who fix my car they said it might be the starter.

Sounds like a loose battery connection. check those at the battery and also at the engine.

Check to see if the starter is actually connected to the battery.

Sounds like you have a dead battery, go buy one on sale and install it yourself. You will save a ton of money.

Could be that your battery is as flat as a pancake.Do the lights etc. work?
