Is the Value of a Middle Easterner Life less than that of an American?

In the West, remains of meals are thrown away which would feed a family in some countries. This doesn't affect their value.

Motorists are more likely to die in an accident than pedestrians. This doesn't mean that their lives have less value.

The fact that some Middle Easterners are more willing to give their own life doesn't affect its value either. It's still a human life, and that person is still capable of doing as much with that life as anyone else (provided they don't blow themselves up).

A lot of these people don't have much to live for. They live in poor countries, or at least in the poorest areas of these countries, and you could fit all their possessions in the trunk of a 1960's VW Bug. Probably most of them don't even believe the cause they are fighting for, but it's a more honorable way to die than a quiet suicide in your own home. At least this way, your family gets money.
