whenever i see that movie i wish there were pirates these days. it sounds so adventurous. i would be one! lol ;)

No. The pirates in the movies are romantic and seem like fairly decent people despite their occupation. The real pirates of today are neither. There are still pirates in the Sea of China, and In the Caribbean. These modern day pirates are cold blooded killers who steal from wealthy yachts or small merchant vessels. They usually scuttle the boats after robbing and killing everyone aboard. Definitely not like the movies.

There are pirates, today, but they don't dress like that, or they don't use that kind of weapons.If you didn't noticed we're in the 21st century and the technology has developed.They use radars, modern guns, fast ships.There are pirates in the Carribean sea, in East Asia, Middle East...

no, today's pirates are worse. They are now armed with automatic weapons. they also use very fast boats to plunder.
In certain waters there still is the threat of pirates, of course you have to have something worth taking. I mean its not like they pull alongside of you and demand your wallet or purse
but yes pirates do indeed still exist. They are just a different breed of pirates these days.
