Is Monday's immigration announcement a diversion from "Gonzales-gate"?

Yup. One of the faults of this administration is the "news dump" policy, of waiting for breaking news to bury some other story quietly (hey dems, maybe Bush killed Anna Nicole!). If they want laborers without high school diplomas in this country, why don't they just close our schools or hire even worse teachers? Funny isn't it that the largest population growth is in major urban areas along the Mexican border? Or that an illegal immigrant family that earns $9,000 in taxable gets back $22,000 in benefits, not to mention what the jail system burden is and increased cost of crime, insurance and law enforcement as well as emergency medical services, etc. We can't take care of teh people who are here LEGALLY. They whine that we have too many people in the USA causing global warming issues, that we have exceeded our "sustainability", that urban/suburban sprawl is a problem, social security system about to go under, our foreign debt increases 3 billion dollars daily, and that all our high tech jobs are going overseas leaving only blue collar and service jobs, and then the two faced rats (dems and reps) turn around and say how badly we need immigration. The TRUTH is, they are turning the USA into Mexico, where most of the people are poor and a small percentage of the population holds all the wealth (including crime bosses) and make all the rules, and select the candidates we get to choose from on election day.

The states are forcing him to do something because they are all trying to make their own immigration rules, they are sick of waiting for Bush to do something. It could be a diversion as far as timing goes, but Bush knew hed have to do something , sooner or later...

at least they were ALL American flags this time !! It wont change the last image though, nor the bad school who turned us flag upside down, and their mexican flag on top of it. You cant undo the past, so maybe they will change in the future ! If not, well, ya dont wanna really think about that , eh ?

The illegal aliens should be told to return to their countries of origin and apply for their work visa from there.

If the businesses and the activists are not lying that they are working on jobs not wanted by US citizens, then they should have little problem being able to apply successfully for their work visas and come back. And America can be certain that those who actually are here, not working, but sleaze and creep around our streets don't get back here to commit crimes. Unless of course there are organizations or illegal alien-supporting activists using illegal aliens for their own illegal means for illegal gains and sleazy profits.

Then our law Enforcement should have the right to raid and round up those who refuse to go home and apply . They would be sleazy illegal aliens hiding from the law anyway.
