What is less expensive - birth control or abortion?
Just to be clear - I have not had an abortion. I hear so many arguments in favor of abortion that it amazes me. I had one child (planned) and another (unplanned) - then had a tubal ligation. Up until I decided to have a child - I effectively used birth control and it was 100% effective. Even if I had been raped - still 100% effective. When I decided no more children - I had my tubes tied and haven't had to worry about getting pregnant or putting my body through the various birth control methods.

Birth control. Condoms are only like 25 cents each, whereas if you didn't use that condom, you might end up having a $400 abortion. As far as pills go, they can cost hundreds of dollars a year (about $30-40 a month)...but most less than just one abortion, and considering you could theoretically get pregnant nine times in the year if you didn't use any form of birth control...the birth control is still cheaper. Plus, if you don't have much money, Medicaid has a program where they will cover birth control costs for any woman over the age of 18...which makes it free, although Medicaid does not cover abortion as a method of birth control. Don't be too proud to get on that Medicaid program. I'm sure the public would rather pay for your birth control than pay for your Welfare.

I dont think it matters which is least expensive. Which would you prefer to put your body through?
Pills - Sexual intercourse with no worries about what could happen. The pill also helps perios pains dissapear. A very slim chance of getting pregnant.
Abortion - the continual worry about the baby. the awful feelings of getting rid of a childs life. Ruining that babys chance of having a great life here on earth. Abortions are very stressful and you could become depressed for a long time after.
In answer to your question if you are under 18 or are in full time education the pill is free. Otherwise it is quite cheap.
The morning after pill again is free from some chemists if you are under 18 but othewise is around £20 - £25.

Go to your nearest Health Clinic and ask about your options for birth control. Depending on your circumstances you might qualify for financial assistance. I would recommend getting an IUD or IUC....they can last up to five years and you wouldn't have to remember to take a pill everyday. If you ever plan on having children in the future don't turn to abortion for a method of birth control. Multiple abortions can lessen your chances of being able to carry a baby in the future...not to mention the emotional stress you would likely go through.

Birth control......Depending on your income, your local health office is the best place to go. When I was in college, I received it free. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and pay $10 a month. This is also a health question, birth control is much safer, abortions are a cruel procedure on your body, and can cause severe internal damage.

Birth control. And plus, you wont have a guilt feeling if you have an abortion when you could just be safe by using the pill. But if your pregnant now, dont take the pill.

birth control - hands down....
abortion costs much more than $$$ the lasting effects that remain are nearly unbearable......I've done a lot of research and the lasting effects are not worth it!
The absolute cheapest way - though - is to not have sex! There is no pain, sadness, std's, etc. if you refrain!!

You shouldn't use abortion as a method of birth control. It can be damaging to your body.

Birth control, using abortion as birth control is not covered by insurance and can costs thousands of dollars if that is what you plan on using as birth control...also a number of clinics have been turning women AWAY who use aborton as birth control because multi abortions have health risks.
However abortion is NOT murder, this is an "emotional ploy" set up by pro life fanatics. In order to commit murder the "victim" HAS to be a BORN human being. Since a pregnancy (zygote, embryo, fetus) has not been BORN abortion is NOT murder. Besides would you call a woman who has a spontaeous abortion (miscarriage) a murderer simply because HER body rejects for some unknown reason a pregnancy? If you call one who elects to have a medically induced abortion a murderer you have to call a woman who's body rejects a pregnancy a murderer as well.

Hmm. Birth control if you take it properly.
Abortion is more expensive by means of money, emotional trauma, and LIFE.
Stick with birth control. Or don't have sex at all.
