If you get it at a abnormally low price the I would guess it is a counterfeit. LV only wholesales to a small amount of dealers outside of their boutiques. eLuxury.com is the only online site authorized to sell LV, so if you got it online and not through them, there's a very good chance it's fake. If you bought it off a street vendor, it is a counterfeit. if you made a spelling error and it really says Louis Vuitton then you have a better chance. first of all, you should tell us where did you get it? If you got it from the main store Louis Vuitton, then it's real. If you bought it from ebay, where was the seller located in? Often times, sellers located in parts of asia sell fake retail items because it's cheap to make it there and they earn a lot of money tricking us to buy it. check the inside and make sure the sewing looks perfect. smell it, does it smell like real perfect leather? the texture should have a difference. was there a reciept the seller sent along? good luck!

if you bought it at a real louis vuitton store then it is but it can be tricky on ebay. some are real and some are fake. if its one with handles, [ like the speedy 25] then on the stitching that holds the handles to the purse there should be 5 yellow stitches across. also, if you have the original tags and paperwork its obviously real, but if dont have those its not really certain. search online , they should have experts that tell more detailed ways to pick out fakes.
