The scroll button on my mouse has stopped working...?
Is this common, or could mine just be dirty. I have only had the mouse for about 6 months, and the rest of the mouse is working perfectly. Any ideas?

Take the mouse apart and use canned air to blow dust out of your mouse. You may also need to clean your scroll wheel.
Make sure your mouse is plugged in correctly - unplug it, then plug it back in again.

First of all, shut down you computer, unplug the mouse, replug, then restart the computer.
If the mouse still does not work, it may need cleaned. If that doesn't work, check the computer with another mouse to see if possibly the setting is not messed up.
If the alternate mouse works, you know where the problem lies. Take the mouse back to where you purchased it to see if they will at least give you a refund or a new mouse.

Could be dirty. But I suggest you get another Mouse and proof test if it really is the scroll.

Go to your Start button
Select Control Panel
Select Mouse
Reset the controls as you want them and press OK.
If that doesn·t work you may need a new mouse.
If it is one of the older models with a ball-then unscrew it and clean the ball and cavity area. It might work again then.
