With the 3rd pick of the NFL draft The Cleveland Browns select...?
While we are waiting for the draft, tell me what you think will happen with picks 1 through 3.
Most assume Russell goes to the Raiders. Who does Detroit take? Will someone trade with the Browns to jump past Tampa Bay and get WR Calvin Johnson?
Thanks.

most mocks say Joe Thomas will go number two,as a browns fan I've seen Quinn loose enough big games and I've seen enough of a injured Adrian Peterson so trade the pick and save the cash for depth on both lines. As a sports fan i would take Peterson.Pittsburgh Sucks

Brady Quinn unless Russell's available. This is a pick to give hope and a face to the Browns franchise. The Browns can market Brady Quinn as The Franchise immediately.
Will he be a great QB? No idea, but Browns fans can eat the marketing fluff for a season or two if Quinn doesn't pan out. I think he'll do fine in Cleveland. He's used to playing against more talented opponents every week... I think Russell will be shell-shocked by how undermanned the Browns offense is compared to NFL defenses. LSU always had superior or equal talent in the SEC.
Calvin Johnson is the best player in the draft and seems to be a class act, but the Browns won't draft him unless it's to trade him. No way are they going to admit that Braylon Edwards is a draft bust after two seasons...

With the 1st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select JaMarcus Russell, quarterback, LSU.
With the 2nd pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Detroit Lions select Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, Wisconsin.
With the 3rd pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select Brady Quinn, quarterback, Notre Dame.

Russell will probably go to the raiders and then the Lions should select Joe Thomas. Then i think the Browns will select Brady Quinn over Calvin Johnson. If for some reason Russell doesn't go first and Russell and Quinn both are still alive then the Browns have a choice between the two. If that happens I think they will select Quinn because thats where he wants to go and they were talking to him anyway but I personally would select JaMarcus Russell

Well you gotta think of it this way- they're prob goin to get Trent Green so say bye bye to Jamarcus Russel and Brady Quinn. Next, you've got a star runnun back now, but you need a buck-up, I don't want Peterson cause of injury, so you can get Micheal Bush or kenny Irons in the second round. Joe Thomas is a lineman and the Browns dont have a good history with them. So who do I want? I want Calvin Johnson. Bralyon Butterfingers Edwards, well just flat out can't catch, Joe Jurevicius catches E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G and I don't see why he's not the number one receiver. Tim Carter, the bum we got from the Giants is just a practice dummy and won't do anything. So there you go- the 1/2 WR should be Jurevicius/Johnson and Hieden(Winslow is hurt) at the Tight End position.

At this point anyone the Browns take will help. They can trade down and still pick up a lot of help. As for the 1 pick the Raiders are going to take the QB from LSU (I just forgot his name) and Detroit will go with the tackle from Wisconsin Joe Thomas. Detroit will not trade this pick away. Millan is too much of an idiot and that is part of the uncertainty factor this year.

I don't think the Browns will be too convinced with Calvin Johnson. I will think they will get Brady Quinn because they are not exactly good at their qb position. Plus you gotta remember. it's the Lions. What have the lions been picking as their top draft pick? Roy Williams, Charles Rogers, both Wr's. Never underestimate the stupidity of the lions if they were to take Calvin.

with russel to the Raiders, their best bet is to go with Brady Quinn, as they need a QB badly, and he seems to be the #2 QB.
if someone jumps up to take quinn #2 they should probably take Calvin Johnson so that they get the most out of their trade value, everyone wants him.

Robert Quinn, DE/UNC. a large number of persons will say Julio Jones. not too many elite DE in this years draft. sure, there are distinctive reliable ones yet they're going to be lengthy gone earlier the Browns 2nd around p.c.. because of the fact a large number of communities want DE's, collectively with Cleveland. If Cleveland needs a WR, they might bypass with Jonathan 1st Earl Baldwin of Bewdley from Pitt, Torrey Smith from Maryland, or Randall Cobb from Kentucky.

They should trade back to the 5 spot and get a reliable veteran reciever, then draft Brady Quinn because Charlie Frye is NOT the answer at qb for the Browns
