Why are we still in Iraq?

Bush has stated that we will stay in Iraq as long as the Iraqis still want us there.

80% of the Iraqis want us to get out of their country. It's time to leave.

    republicans will tell you it is because it makes us safer and because we still need to complete our mission...

    ..OK? i fail to see how it makes us safer, every person we kill is making more terrorists...

    we completed our mission, the military has done all it can, let diplomacy now do the rest.

    Did you do that pole yourself? We are still in Iraq because we overthrew their government and its structure. It's our government's responsibility to ensure the safety and control of an area that is currently unstable.
