Did Don Imus Make A Mistake Going On The Race Hustlers Al Sharptoon's Show To Apologize?
Imus did not insult the Rev Al. He should apologize to the Rutgers womans basketball team....but I am assuming he is too afraid to enter their locker room.

Don Imus has been a big bully toward the Bush Administration. Thats OK. He crossed the line by insulting the black community.
I can't help but enjoy seeing him beg for crumbs at the feet of Al Sharpton.
He has been emasculated. Anyone looking for forgiveness from Al Sharpton has lost it. Imus is done.
You have to give Sharpton credit. He can say any ugly defamatory statements he wants. He never backs down.
Although who in the 'white' media would have the guts to confront him, other than that Hannity, the 'evil white republican'.

Every time I see Al Sharpton in the media, I see the foundations that Martin Luther King Jr. and other great African Americans slip a little further back. If this is going to be the way he will continue to represent our African American brothers (Im hispanic but all Americans are my brothers and sisters), The man seriously needs to step away from the limelight and let a real figure take over. Imus made a serious mistake, but the right thing to have done was to say, "You made a mistake, it was wrong, and we have to forgive you". Sharpton, the next time something like this happens, think to yourself, What would MLK jr. Do? would he forgive and forget? How could YOU be an example to our fellow African American men and women like he was?

I don't watch or listen to Don Imus. I just don't care for his type of program. But he's getting the usual railroading by the vocal and visual black community, who want his head on a platter. How quickly they forget some of the things that have come from their own mouths... Louis Farrakhan, B.E.T.'s 2005 "Person of the Year" ("White people are potential humans - they haven't evolved yet.") and Jesse Jackson (who referred to New York as "Hymietown"). And who's picketing CBS for Imus's dismissal? Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson !!! What a hypocrite. Apparently "Freedom of Speech" is a one-sided freedom.

I think what he said was not very nice. However, he should have known that Al Sharpton was on a witch hunt and wouldn't accept his apology. I think he should have just kept to his own show, done his apology (but I don't think people should apologize for exercising their right to free speech) and then told Al Sharpton that as a reverand he should be preaching forgiveness and repentence instead of revenge!

Don Imus made a serious mistake, and went on Sharpton's show to apologize to the team....that is black.
He should go to Rutgers and apologize personally. It would be better PR.

Sharpton is a HUGE racist deary and Imus should have stayed away.
My own opinion is that if other cultures don't like this stuff repeated about them - they should clean up their OWN TALK and their OWN music so as not to reflect this attitude against them.
