Cleveland Hibore 8.5 vs. Cleveland 460ti?

I know this question is a little late, but oh well. I bought a cleveland Hibore 8.5. I originally wanted to buy a Cleveland 460 Ti, but went with the Hibore instead. Did I make a good choice.. I am a high handicapped golfer...

Update:

I only paid 140 for it. Some guy bought it brand new and used it 4 times and is travelling a lot and doesn't have time to play so he's selling it. It has the upgraded shaft and grips... I only got it because I got a good deal on it...

It depends how you like to hit the ball. I am assuming you did not buy the Ti with the offset. If you are a really high handicapper, you could have got the Ti Offset to help you swing.

I also don't know which HiBore you got. The current HiBore XL that Vijay used to get two wins this year is longer than last year's HiBore, which he took out during the midpoint of the '06 season.

When I hit the two clubs, I found the Ti too big. With the Ti and most other 460 cc drivers, you need to tee the ball high because the sweet spot is at the upper-third of the club face. With the HiBore, the sweet spot is closer to dead center of the club face.

I hate teeing the ball high so I like the HiBore XL better. The Ti "might" be longer than last year's HiBore.

I own the Ti 460 and I have to say that it is a very nice club. I am a 14 handicap and I personally saw little to no difference with the HiBore when i demoed it, at least not $150 worth. Many sources such as golf digest say that only low handicaps should see a difference in flight and distance. I would say that if you haven't used it yet to return it for a Ti at half the price.

I switched to the Hi-Bore from the Comp 460 launcher. I love my Hi- Bore but I felt more comfortable w/ 9.5*. Hi-Bore has better Tech. and has a slight offset built in. I gained distance from the comp. I have the ProForce V2 stiff shaft because I like the stiffer tip. I carry the ball 290-295 as opposed to 280-290 w/ the comp.
