  • My kitty hisses at my newborn baby girl...?

My cat is an 11 lb DSH, who's only a year and a half. The most affectionate cat I've ever had. We just had a baby (5 days ago) and we tried the blanket thing, so he could smell it. When the baby came home and my cat heard her cry, he instantly hissed at her and does light growls. He is "ok" when she is quiet, but when she makes noises, he gets very edgy and annoyed and sometimes hisses at her. He doesn't always hiss at her, but just when I think he's better he'll hiss at her again. My cat spends most of his time in the basement now because he's not very fond of strangers (my sister has 5 kids who harrassed my cat and now he hates strangers). Anyways, I really LOVE my cat and my wife is scared that he'll attack the baby. My cat isn't aggressive, but he really hates the baby. Any advice about what to do?? Please, this cat is part of the family and it'd be a shame to let him go...

  • Does anybody else's kitten do/eat this?

My 7 month old kitten. The one in my picture. He's very healthy, I only feed him organic food (newmans own mixed with natural balance, about a fifth of a can of canned food and vitagravy) anyways thats not my point. Hes finicky about his cat food, but not human food. He eats, raw shrimp, chicken cooked and raw, chips, frosting, crackers, beans... I don't want anyone thinking I feed him handfuls of that stuff. Every so often I'll give him literally like half a finger nail of the foods I mentioned earlier. And the frosting and stuff, its literally like licking my finger. I was wondering if anybody else has a cat that pretty much eats anything as well...

  • Need help choosing brand of golf irons.?

I'm a semi beginning golfer (probably golf in the low 100's). I've only golfed 6 times in my life and want to begin golfing regularly this summer. My clubs are like 4th generation hand me downs and am looking to replace them. I'm debating between a set of irons (3-PW) by Ben Hogan edge. They're probably 5 years old, but very well taken care of... And a set of Walter Hagen SB3 with the 2 hybrids. Those clubs are only about a year and half old. Which would be a better buy. Both are around 100 (the hogans are about 100, the walter hagens are about 120)... help me out... Oh, and one other question, should I get a driver (I found a good deal on a Cleveland 460 Ti)

  • How to get my 5 month old kitten to stop biting and jumping on us?

I have a 5 mo old kitten and he sometimes bites. I've tried the water bottle thing, I tried the grasping the back of the neck and holding him there, he just gets mad and keeps his mouth open. I tried time out, he cries and eventually we let him out. Nothing has really worked yet. Don't get me wrong, when he's not biting, he's perfect and he doesn't always bite. He lets me bathe him, cut his nails, brush his teeth and brush him. He's extremely affectionate, he grooms my facial hair, he comes to us to sleep. He's never scratched anybody EVER. He just bites and it's not out of anger, he's playing, but he's getting stronger and its starting to hurt. When he gets angry with me trying to discipline him, he keeps his mouth open and doesn't let me touch him, but he doesn't attack me. I read that someone said when he bites to put your finger in his mouth and press down on his tongue, it represents you biting him back.. Oh and how to get him to stop using us and jumping posts
