Does anybody else's kitten do/eat this?

My 7 month old kitten. The one in my picture. He's very healthy, I only feed him organic food (newmans own mixed with natural balance, about a fifth of a can of canned food and vitagravy) anyways thats not my point. Hes finicky about his cat food, but not human food. He eats, raw shrimp, chicken cooked and raw, chips, frosting, crackers, beans... I don't want anyone thinking I feed him handfuls of that stuff. Every so often I'll give him literally like half a finger nail of the foods I mentioned earlier. And the frosting and stuff, its literally like licking my finger. I was wondering if anybody else has a cat that pretty much eats anything as well...

Update:

i'm not worried, i was just curious.. if i was the only one with a kitten who ate everything... but was pickier than #$#% with his own food...

Update 2:

Oh, and like I said he's only literally eaten like a fingernail size of pretty much everything listed...

I'd say its normal, my 2 eight month old kittens will eat popcorn, green beans... the strangest stuff. Be careful though, cats dont really have the capactiy to process sweets, and sugary food can make them sick, but yeah, I would say your cat's food curiousity is pretty normal.

Let's see...my cats' favorite human foods are cream filling (like from Twinkees), Chinese food, the spicier the better, slimfast shakes, crackers, steak, chicken, etc. Like you said, it isn't that I'm feeding handfuls of stuff but over the years my cats have stolen bites when I turned my head, eaten food that has been dropped on the floor before I could pick it up, been given little tastes to see if they like it or not.

My cat is healthy too...she eats all-natural food as well. She does the same thing! Only she eats EVERYTHING!! She eats all sorts of candy, meat, dairy, everything! I think her favorite is yogurt. When I open a cup of yogurt, she is automatically in the kitchen, ready for me to feed her some! She loves sugar! She is a little bit chunky, but its not like we give her junk all the time!! She also eats fruit [mainly bananas] and she likes apples...She will eat anything and everything!!

My two current cats don't eat anything other than cat food. I've occasionally tried to tempt them with a bit of chicken, but they just aren't interested. Food falls on the floor, and they go over to investigate, but rarely ever eat it.

A cat I previously had used to like weird things occasionally, though. I don't think it's abnormal for them to try and eat this stuff, but as you know, don't give it all the time.

Even if my cats want a finger lick they can't have frosting,or any other kind of junk food stuff - bad, bad, bad. I do share my cereal, yogurt, cooked meat and fish. They just want to be included. Cute cat, by the way.

Not good for your cat to eat anything but cat food, salt & extra additives is not healthy for a cat or a dog.

That is normal thing, sometimes cats are thinking they are part of clan of herd, and they are eating food we do.

My previous cats Tommy and Musa together with my late one Tom 2, eat almoust everything incloding salad of cookies when in mood, the best was Musa eating green olives and jogurt, as I said it happened sometimes and it's nothing to worry, the cats are strong individuals and some of them have funny taste in food menu, if they do not like something thay will never eat it.

So let you cat enjoy in all variety he/she likes it.

stick with the cat food=] this sounds so ******* not healthy for your cat=[ he/she will get FAT and no one likes an overweight kitty=] my kitty is sorta old now, but he's actually healthy and not ******* FAT like most of todays kittys......=] + don't spoil your kitty, my cat thinks he can do whatever he wants and he ONLY eats fancy feast. If you give my kitty any other food, he'll just walk away and ignores his hunger until he gets the Fancy Feast. >_<

I wish, sometimes my cat wont even eat raw mince or cut up steak! But she will eat cooked meat (mainly if i'm eating it, if i put it in her bowl she'll pick at it, but thats about it)

She just likes her wet and dry food. She's very picky!

Dont enable him initiate nursing on you however as jointly as its beautiful while they are little its no longer beautiful and particularly painful once you have a 5 twelve months previous cat who desires to nurse on your ear! you will hit upon a product on the internet stated as a catsifier if no longer something works.
